Kambaku Safari Lodge - Kruger National Park
Accommodating only 16 guests Kambaku Safari Lodge is an exclusive yet affordable lodge. Combining simple luxury, a high level of environmental consciousness, meticulous design and tasteful decoration to blend in with the charm and serenity of the natural surrounds. This fully fenced family-friendly lodge has a feeling of relaxed intimacy where strangers meet and leave as friends.
Since the formation of the Timbavati Association, every landowner in the area has been encouraged to join in the conservation effort. Today there are over 50 members who have succeeded in restoring the land to its former glory, with diverse and rare wildlife species making the Timbavati their home. In 1993, in recognition of the importance of the area, the fences between the Kruger National Park and the Timbavati Reserve were removed to encourage natural species migration.
Expect to enjoy intimate sightings of the Big 5, White Lions, Wild Dogs, Cheetah, Hippo, and Crocodile as well as a large variety of other general game and birds whilst taking in the natural beauty of the real African bushveld.

You may be sure that the unfenced Kambaku Safari Lodge will provide you with an exceptionally personal safari experience. And a green one at that: all of the lodge's electricity comes from solar energy. The layout of the accommodations is meant to fit seamlessly with the surrounding vegetation. Situated in the centre of Timbavati Game Reserve, which shares the Greater Kruger National Park's unfenced western border, lies the family-friendly lodge.
In the midst of the African heat, the eight thatched chalets at Kambaku Safari Lodge exude refreshing serenity. After a day filled with priceless memories, wrap yourself in clean white linen, bid adieu to all creatures of the night, and shut the mosquito net. Each room has an attached bathroom with a shower and bathtub, ceiling fans and lanterns for the evening (not much electricity, but quite romantic). When the quiet of the night descends upon you, take a seat on your own veranda and gaze up at the astounding Milky Way's vastness.
Discover the Big Five or the endangered white lion, and listen to the rumbling of elephants and the melodies of innumerable bird species. You will be able to enjoy all that this rich African land has to offer without any obstacles.
Children 2 - 12 years pay applicable child sharing rate, children younger than 2 years stay for free. Children over 4 years of age are allowed on the game drives and children over the age of 12 years are allowed on bush walks.
