3 Day Kruger National Park Classic Safari - Kruger Park Safari Tours & Packages

3 days, 2 nights in the Kruger National Park, affords our guests an opportunity to see Africa's wildlife roaming the plains, in their natural habitat, completely wild and free. We take care of you from the minute we pick you up from your hotel in Johannesburg right up until the moment we drop you off on the last day and bid you farewell.

Unlike many of our competitors, our safaris overnight inside the Kruger National Park. Our 3 day Classic Kruger Safari provides you with enough time spent on safari to see the amazing variety of wildlife that the Kruger National Park has to offer.

One of Africa's most famous national parks, there are 147 mammal species found in Kruger, more than any other wildlife reserve in Africa! Of these the Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant) are of course included.

On this safari we include open vehicle drives and a sunset drive. This safari gives you an amazing African wildlife experience.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Southern Kruger

We depart from Johannesburg between 06:00 – 08:30 to allow for various collection points. Our route takes us through the wide open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area. We stop for lunch en-route (own expense) and reach the Kruger National Park in the afternoon.

After settling in to our accommodations, you go out on your first game drive which is a SANParks Sunset Drive. A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals that are more active at night and the Park’s rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times. Note that these drives take place in one of the Kruger Park’s vehicles with a Park’s ranger. This is not a private game drive and there may be other guests on this drive. (Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)

Dinner is a three course meal, served al fresco at our private camp within Pretoriuskop.

Day 2 : Southern Kruger

Safaris are all about early mornings, getting out there and seeing animals! After an early wake-up call (the time varies according to the seasons and park gate opening times), we have tea or coffee & rusks (dried biscuits to be dunked in your drink!) We then set off on the morning safari which will take approximately 3-4 hours. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!

On returning to Pretoriuskop, breakfast/brunch will be ready at our camp. You then have time to enjoy a swim, catch up on some sleep, visit the park shop which includes African curios, general food items and drinks or take a walk around the camp. Pretoriuskop is also a bird watcher’s paradise! Be sure to bring along your binoculars!

After a siesta we set off on the afternoon game drive. We conduct all our game drives in specially adapted 4x4 open game drive vehicles to allow our guests the best possible vantage point.

We share safari stories at the camp fire under the stars after a scrumptious dinner served at our camp.

Day 3 : End Of Itinerary

The sun rises over our final day in the Park and we have one last chance to find the animals that have eluded us thus far. After breakfast we return to Johannesburg. The drive back takes at least 6 hours and guests are advised to sleep over in Johannesburg on this night.
